We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded a GOOD grade in all areas of our recent Ofsted inspection! This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our learners, employers, partners, and staff.
Our success is largely due to our ‘Primary Goal’ to provide IT and Digital apprenticeships across the education sector as well as organisations supporting the education sector, equipping learners with the digital skills needed to thrive in their careers.
“Leaders have designed apprenticeships with a clear aim to develop the digital skills employers need. For example, in the Level 3 information communications technician apprenticeship, leaders have designed a curriculum that addresses the national demand for information and communications technology staff, particularly in education settings. The curriculum focuses on developing the skills and knowledge required for these roles. “
“Leaders ensure that apprentices are supported by coaches with extensive industry experience. In the level 3 digital support technician apprenticeship, many coaches have previously worked as teachers in primary or secondary education. This background enables them to understand and respond to the specific digital support skills gaps within the teaching profession. “
We’re also grateful for the support of our employers, who provide invaluable work employment, mentorship and clear career development opportunities for our learners.
“Apprentices are highly valued by employers, with many receiving promotions after completing their apprenticeship.“
“Apprentices receive clear and comprehensive careers advice from their coaches, which helps them to make informed decisions about their future. The guidance coaches provide covers potential career paths and how to overcome challenges. This gives apprentices a solid understanding of their career options once they complete their apprenticeship.”
We’d like to extend a special thanks to our staff, who are passionate about helping learners achieve their goals and making a difference in the education sector.
“Staff accurately assess apprentices’ starting points and plan learning based on their individual needs. At the start of the apprenticeship, apprentices complete detailed skills scans, which coaches use to tailor their lessons. This personalised approach helps most apprentices to make sustained progress from their initial starting points. “
“Coaches ensure apprentices develop knowledge and skills valuable to the workplace. For example, level 3 digital support technician apprentices working in education settings learn to provide feedback that children with special educational needs can easily understand and access by using digital systems. Apprentices are highly valued by employers, with many receiving promotions after completing their apprenticeship. “
Finally, we’re proud of our learners, who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance throughout their apprenticeships.
“Apprentices actively contribute to creating a respectful environment that values diversity and promotes equality. Consequently, they feel confident participating in lessons, asking questions and sharing their views. Apprentices report that the atmosphere allows everyone to express themselves in a supportive and respectful space. “
This Ofsted rating is a significant milestone for Primary Goal as a training provider, and we’re committed to continuing to provide high-quality apprenticeships that meet the digital needs of learners and employers.
