Primary Goal - Unlocking & Inspiring Technology in Schools

Our Primary Goal is to embed the use of technology in education by providing Teacher Apprentices who can support the use of IT in lessons and maintain technology in school.

Our unique programme has been developed with the support of Head Teachers and Business Managers to meet the specific requirements of schools and Ofsted regulatory requirements.

A Teacher’s Apprentice will receive training and ongoing support from the Tablet Academy, a leading provider of teacher training to focus on the use of IT within the curriculum and will also receive technical training and support from an IT provider, which could be the school’s current provider, or a new provider.

A Teachers Apprentice can complement your current IT provision and ensure your IT resources are working effectively for your staff. By having the Apprentice on-site 5 days a week they can fix minor issues and act as the point of contact for your IT provider.

The Apprentice is also the in-class support many teachers would love to have. Each time IT is brought into a lesson your Apprentice can be on hand to help deliver lessons, prepare devices and ensure work is saved for learner evidence.

The explosion of tablets, cloud computing and one to one devices in the classroom has made the challenge of supporting School IT more diverse and challenging than ever before. This has left many schools wishing they could afford a full time technician and teachers wary of relying on technology in class.

If you're an IT provider, get in touch with us to see how the Teacher's Apprentice can benefit you.

The Model

The Primary Goal model combines expertise from 3 key areas:

Identifying and recruiting the right young

people for schools, whilst linking into government support and official Apprenticeship programmes

Training and ongoing professional development for Teachers and the Teachers Apprentice from Tablet Academy.

About Us

Primary Goal was founded by Director Louise Campton, who spotted a gap in schools for the need of a technician on site who was able to undertake basic IT tasks and partner with the teachers to use technology more effectively within the classroom.

Louise’s background in Careers Education and Guidance has helped her to recognise an opportunity to develop a unique apprenticeship programme, enabling young people with a passion for technology and an interest in teaching to gain paid work opportunities in a school environment and combine this with Digital skills for the future...
